The History of the Brand
Eza Watches traces its roots to Pforzheim, nicknamed "Goldstadt" (the city of gold), in the heart of Germany's watchmaking region. For over 250 years, this city has combined artisanal craftsmanship with horological innovation. In the 1900s, Eza was synonymous with high-quality mechanical watches, passionately crafted by local artisans, before ceasing operations during the quartz crisis.
Hermann Becker, founder of the factory that produced Eza's iconic movements, left his mark on watchmaking history. From 1921 to 1979, his company created robust mechanical calibers, such as the HB 313, and helped forge the brand's reputation for excellence.
After a 37-year hiatus, Eza was reborn in 2016 thanks to Adriaan Trampe, a passionate young watchmaker. Inspired by vintage designs, he perpetuates the brand's heritage by blending classic aesthetics with modern craftsmanship.
Today, Eza continues to celebrate traditional watchmaking by using only mechanical movements. Assembled in Pforzheim, the watches benefit from high-quality Swiss components, while offering excellent value for money thanks to optimized production.
"German watchmaking tradition, reimagined for the present."
