On the dial, a domed globe representing the Earth rotates once every 24 hours at the 12:00 position, serving as a day/night indicator. Beside it, a small globe representing the Moon rotates around the Earth on a 28-day cycle, accurately recreating the lunar motion.

The hours and minutes are displayed by two off-center metal discs, positioned at 7:00 and 5:00, while a double-pointed hand indicates the seconds in the center of the dial. The sky-blue background of the dial evokes the immensity of space, adding an aesthetic touch to this exceptional piece.
