The “Times Dwellers” railway of hours is utterly unique, unprecedented, and completely singular. Black Corner’s creation is as disorienting at first glance as it is enriching, fascinating, and distinctive with time and contemplation, in addition to being entirely exclusive. Indeed, each hour is represented by a glyph, instead of the traditional numerical index. Each glyph is the translation of the corresponding hour index into an exotic and graphic language, living or dead, from one of the five continents of our Earth. And above each hour glyph is the name of the capital city of the country where the language to which the glyph pays homage is spoken.
Thus, thanks to the “Times Dwellers” watch by Shadows Black Corner X Anka, each day is a journey around the world—past, present, and future. A voyage from continent to continent. A conversation with the diverse humanity, in the languages of the past and present of the peoples who inhabit the Earth.
A unique label of its kind…
Created in London by director, artist and designer Blyne in 2015, almost 10 years ago to the day, Black Corner is a unique and atypical label.
It is both an electro-rock/dark-wave group drawing its inspiration from electro, post-punk, new wave, original 80s East Coast rap and nu metal, and a label for artistic creation and global design.
Black Corner creates music and produces its own works, available on all digital platforms and on vinyl records. The label designs "Street Couture" clothing, jewelry, accessories, sneakers, everyday objects, artwork, street art, books, documentary and fiction films, music videos…
The inspiration for this hyper-creative collective: the dystopian, chaotic and often violent beauty of this dying post-20th century world and the advent of the next, in a painful gestation phase…
