Tellurium Chrome
The tellurium dial shows the Earth's rotation around the Sun once a year, with the Earth rotating once on its axis every 24 hours. Simultaneously, the Moon orbits the Earth once every 29.5 days and rotates once on its own axis, so the different lunar phases are visible from Earth. The Earth then passes through the 12 signs of the zodiac, the months, and the days, which can be read on a flat dial. It features an 8 4/4-day Westminster chime on four polished bells. A sweeping seconds hand, return spring, 11-jewel Swiss escapement, polished plates, and automatic night chime silence are also included. The 12 signs of the zodiac are milled into a polished, openworked rosette. A milled calendar displays the month and day. The rotating tellurium arm features a hand and representations of the Sun, Moon, and Earth.
