The epic plane wreck on the black beach in southern Iceland

It was in 1973 that a US Navy DC plane crashed on the black beach of Sólheimasandur on the south coast of Iceland. Despite running out of fuel, the plane's passengers and crew were lucky to survive. After an investigation, it turned out that the pilot had simply loaded the wrong tank. Even today, the remains of the plane can be seen on the sand, a testament to the power of human perseverance.

Inspired by this wreckage, a watch has been designed to bring back to life some of the plane's features. It reminds us that even in the face of adversity, we have the strength to rise up and create something beautiful.
