Pioneering Vector Orbit Watch - Travel through the stars, shape the future of time
ATOWAK launches its revolutionary COSMOFLEET watch, which combines cutting-edge watchmaking expertise with a futuristic space-inspired design, available for pre-order.
- ATOWAK, a pioneer of avant-garde watchmaking, is proud to present its latest creation, the COSMOFLEET. This timepiece pushes the boundaries of design and functionality, embodying the vast possibilities of the future and the cosmos.
An odyssey of time and space
Inspired by the concept of futuristic space transporters, the watch is more than a timekeeping instrument; it is an exploration of the mysteries of time and space. The case design reflects the command center of a space fleet, with a clean aesthetic and geometric facets, evoking the layout of Earth’s transporter formations. Inside, the vast open space of the watch dial recalls the starry cosmos, while the hands of the innovative three-dimensional star wheel move like a fleet of spaceships exploring the universe.
A Breakthrough in Time Telling Innovation: The Vectorial-Orbit Wandering Hour System
At the heart of COSMOFLEET is the Vectorial-Orbit Wandering Hour (VOWH) system developed by ATOWAK, a revolutionary time-telling mechanism that departs from traditional designs. Controlled by three sets of high-precision planetary gears, the three-dimensional hands move with unmatched stability and precision, ensuring the time is displayed with mechanical elegance.
Comprised of 44 precision parts crafted from six high-quality materials including titanium alloy, brass, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, ruby and SSG nylon, the VOWH system embodies exceptional craftsmanship, with tolerances as fine as 0.005mm.
Single-Pin Joint: Reinventing Three-Dimensional Hand Design
COSMOFLEET introduces ATOWAK’s revolutionary Single-Pin Joint structure, inspired by ancient mortise and tenon joints. This innovative design, which uses a single pin to securely attach the three-dimensional hands to the dial, is reminiscent of the docking mechanisms used in modern space missions, such as Apollo’s ASTP. This precise aluminum pin ensures that all components are perfectly aligned and operate smoothly, creating an experience similar to docking a spacecraft.
Unparalleled know-how: Manual movement with multi-segment pusher
A world first, COSMOFLEET’s hands use a multi-segment pusher-type mechanism powered by a column wheel system, inspired by ancient irrigation technology. More complex and stable than the Geneva Drive used in traditional Wandering Hour watches, this system is made from a grade 5 titanium alloy, representing the pinnacle of precision engineering.
Frictionless Performance: Advanced Ruby Bearing System
To accommodate the weight and complexity of the VOWH system, ATOWAK developed an advanced bearing system that includes 24+3 ruby bearings to reduce friction and wear. Each of the three-dimensional hands is supported by a ruby bearing, ensuring stable and smooth operation. Paired with the company's own Miyota 9029 movement, this system ensures flawless performance.
Aerospace grade titanium for ultimate durability
The COSMOFLEET case is made from aerospace-grade titanium alloy, meticulously carved in 260 minutes with an accuracy of 0.02 mm. This material not only improves durability, but also reduces the weight of the watch to only 67.66 g, providing an exceptional wearing experience with a slim profile of 15.7 mm.
Curved Crystal: A Masterpiece of Precision
Featuring a double-curved, cross-shaped glass, the COSMOFLEET’s glass is a testament to ATOWAK’s commitment to precision and craftsmanship. Cut to a tolerance of 0.01 mm, the glass is manually polished to seamlessly integrate with the case, reflecting the watch’s sleek, unified design.
Multi-layer dial: a celestial landscape
The COSMOFLEET dial is a work of art. It is made of intricately carved copper and features a fish scale pattern resembling twinkling stars. The time-telling module, also made of copper, ensures precise assembly, while the ATOWAK logo at 12 o'clock adds a touch of sophistication.
Swiss Super-Luminova: lighting up the night
Every detail of the COSMOFLEET, from the dial to the hands of the gear wheel, is hand-filled with Swiss Super-Luminova, creating a breathtaking nighttime display. The luminous arrowhead hands not only enhance readability, but also evoke the image of a spaceship’s propulsion, guiding the fleet through the darkness.
